Post Cat Toys dangerous
I recently lost my 10 mo. old kitty, Rambo when the fuzzy foot part came off a "Bouncy Mouse" toy that I purchased for him on March 17th at Walmart. The toy was poorly made and I didn't realize how much so until after he swallowed the part which was just barely tack stitched on. The part was surgically removed but he still died. This kitty was like a child to me and News 4 did a story and video which can be viewed by typing in Upstate Pet Toy. I am trying to get help in seeing that pet toys are regulated. As a former Safety and Health Consultant for a large Utility company, I know that most everything has safety regualtions except pet toys. We are given dominion over the animals and are to be their voice. Please take the time to write all of our legislators to try to get some regs. in place. In doing some internet research, I have found that many pet toys that are imported from China such as the one I bought, have been found to contain glass, lead, needles, worms, etc. The one I bought was just poorly made. It was distributed by Worldwise Toys, San Rafael, Ca. I have asked them to pull these toys but they still grace the shelves at the local Walmart. I have spoken with them regarding the liability of their product and they have referred me to their insurance company. My vet bills alone were at $1000. I have written Walmart Corporate twice and still have had no response. Please keep me in your s prayers as I am devastated. I am trying to find another baby "buff" colored kitten, but they are hard to find as they are not orange or yellow. If anyone has one, please respond. I would like a male. He would have to look closely like my former Rambo. Check out my story and video on WYFF4.
Thanks, Debbie Chapman Sad
